November Hive Removals
« on: November 19, 2020, 07:39:41 PM »
Just when I thought the season was over...  I got two removal calls today and did one removal earlier in the week.  I'll be at those tomorrow and Saturday.  It's not in the bee's best interest to remove them this late but they have to be removed.  I'll be passing these on to newer beekeepers to work on honing their fall and winter beekeeping skills.

I’ve had a few calls as well. One huge exposed hive. Didn’t get the queen and they have made a few cells. I just hope there are drones for her when she hatches. Other wise I will combine with another hive. Lots of calls about bee hives in the ground “yellowjackets” lately.

I've got a yellow jacket problem to deal with a some fair grounds.  They are feeding them with all the drink cans and snacks in the garbage.
